When Pinner Business Hub launched in 1980 (as the business Club), the business world was so very different…. No Internet. No smart phones. No social media. No Zoom or Teams. Almost no Sunday trading. Early closing on Wednesdays for local shops. Long lunch breaks…
Now, with a 24-hour ‘global village’, times have changed and the way we all work has changed too.
Support local businesses by spreading the word about the hub. Simply download our poster and pin it to your noticeboard.
Whatever type of business you run and wherever you run it from, Pinner Business Hub is here for you. Plus, we have a range of Special Interest Groups: starting with street imperatives, our first Special Interest Group focuses on awareness and prevention of retail crime, violence against women and girls and enhancing road safety, working closely with Pinner Police and their counterparts across the Borough. Our next group has been focusing in on empty shop units, looking at how we help promote Pinner as a brilliant place to start or grow a business!
Other initiatives include a special interest group on volunteers in our shops and community organisations, and another group looking at entry-level roles within local businesses – what’s it like to start work in Pinner? How do we support our newer and younger workforce, who will hopefully be the business owners and managers of the future?
And last but definitely not least: our flagship campaign for 2025: #YourShopWindowInOurShopWindow, where our local shops are helping to enhance visibility and promotion for our small freelance businesses by featuring them in their shop windows.
